Mastin - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

The Mastin reunion was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. PY Glascock of Linden, Aug 23, 1927. The forenoon was spent in social conversation and recalling old times. At the non (sic) hour a bountiful dinner was served to the 43 persons present. After the dinner was served a business session was called. The minutes of the previous meeting was read and approved. The following officers were elected: John Masin (sic - Mastin?) - President; Alice Misner, VP; James Mastin, Treasurer; Malissa Maxwell, Sec; Sadie M. Wright, assistant sec. A motion was made and carried that the next reuion be held at the same placeon the 3rd Sunday in August, 1928.

At his (sic) time a committee of arrangements consisting of four persons were appointed: Mrs. May Serings; Mrs. Neva Misner; Mrs. Pearl Glascock; Mrs. Margaret Misner. At the close of the business session, the afternoon was spent in music and games. All left at a late hour feeling they had had an enjoyable time and hoping all would be spared to meet again in 1928  -- transcribed by kbz
