The fifth annual reunion of the Bowmans, Loops and Airharts was held Sunday, Sept. 20, in Frank Beck's grove, eight miles east of the city. As the weather was fine a goodly number attended. At the noon hour an excellent dinner was served, after which an interesting program was given. No special program had been prepared but several interesting talks were given and much appreciated. Rev. Homer Dale of Lebanon made an excellent address which added much pleasure to the event. Rev. Cornelius Airhart of Greencastle also made an interesting talk. All who gave short talks expressed their appreciation of being present and hoped to have another reunion next year, even better than this one. The oldest living decendants of these families who were present were: Henry Loop of Advance, Joseph Airhart of Crawfordsville and H. W. Bowman of Crawfordsville. The secretary's report stated that in the last year four deaths had taken place, Mrs. Charles Bratton, Miss Mary Jane Bowman, William Bossman and Loop Burk. The program was ended by prayer by Rev. Airhart.
