The Blasdel-Chase Unit The Blasdel Chase Unit of BFA met in Milligan Park, Crawfordsville, Indiana for their third reunion. 53 cousins, coming from various parts of Indiana, Illinois, Ohio and Texas were present some of them for the first time. It was a lovely day for such an occasion and the picnic dinner was enjoyed by all. The unit president, Frank Chase, called the meeting to order for the transaction of business and the following were elected as officers for the coming year: president, Willard Beckboldt of Farmer City, Ill; VP: Lloyd Kirk of Indianapolis, Ind; Sec-Treas, Jessie Tuitt of Knightstown, Ind. It was decided to make Crawfordsville the regular meeting place and the second Sunday in July the regular time. Mrs. Lizzie Westmoreland and her sister, Mrs. Alice B. Blackwell of Austin, Texas were with us. Cousin Lizzie in a short talk extended greetings from the National officers of BFA and the editorial staff. She reminded us this news items and family stories should be sent to the editorial office at Eagle Lake, Tex and all vital statistics to our president and genealogist at Phoenix, AZX. Most of the afternoon was spent together socially. We were glad to have so many present and extent a cordial invitation to all "Cousins" to meet with us next year.

Members of the Blasdel-Chase Unit held their annual meeting in lovely Milligan Park, Crawfordsville, Indiana July 8. 49 members attended and enjoyed a picnic dinner at noon. A short business session was held with the same officers re-elected. Mrs. Lloyd Kirk was named hostess and Charlie Query, assistant. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Kirk, Jr. LaPorte Ind were present for the first time and we hope they will be attending each year. Present also were the four new babies of the year grandchildren of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Query. The afternoon was spent in reminiscing and informed visiting. Blasdel-Chase Unit members of the BFA met Sunday July 11, in Miligan (sic) Park, Crawfordsville, Indiana. Rain, just as the group finished eating dinner prevented a business meeting. The same officers will serve for 1959. Mrs. Jessie Truitt Morgan, Sec. Same Source: p 15 The Blasdel-Chase Unit of the BFA held their 9th annual reunion in Milligan Park, Crawfordsville, Ind July 10, 1960 with 36 cousins attending from Indiana and Illinois. Charley Query gave the invocation after which all partook of a bountious dinner. Lloyd Kirk presided at the business meeting in the afternoon. A motion was made and seconed to retain the same officers another year. They are Lloyd Kirk, president; George Truitt, VP and Mable Hermeling, Sec/ Treas. An announcement was made of the National Reunion in Wichita, KS extending an invitation for all to attend. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Morgan, Knightstown, Ind and Mr. and Mrs. Willard Beckholder, Farmer City, Ill hope to attend. George Truitt suggested a paper be passed and each write a message to Mr. and Mrs. Wm J. Scott and family who are serving as missionaries in Barbados, West Indies. Mrs. Scott is a granddaughter of the late Ella (Chase) Melton. After a wonderful day together, members voted to return next year to Milligna Park, Crawfordsville, Ind, the second Sunday in July. Mable Hermeling, Sec/Treas

The annual reunion of the Blasdel-Chase Unit was held at Milligan Park, Crawfordsville, Indiana July 14. Due to illness and vacations only 26 cousins from Michigan, Indiana and Illinois attended. A basket dinner was held at noon, invocation by Charlie Query. The group had a wonderful surprise when Mr. and Mrs. Dale Reynolds of Empire, Mich met with us for the first time. Mrs. Reynolds (Lucile Chase) is the daughter of the late Leonard Chase. George Truitt, president presided at the business meeting. A card was read from Florence Chase and family of Jeromersville, Ohio regretting they could not attend. A note was read from Earl and Lena Kirk of Lyons, Ind who were unable to attend. They were faithful to attend when able and were missed. Early enclosed $5.00 to treat the group to ice cream. Each of the group wrote a note of thanks and best regards to the Kirks. A motion was made and seconded to retain the same officers another year. They are: President, George Truitt; VP, Charlie Query and Sec/Treas, Mable D. Hermeling. Bessie Truitt and Mildred Mason were appointed to serve on the table committee. Donna Truitt, daughter of George Truitt went to Hawaii last year. During the year she and H. Wm. Young were married in Hawaii and plan to be home this fall. Our best regards was sent to Katherine Truitt who is ill. The rest of the afternoon was spent socially. The Chase-Blasdel unit of the Blasdell family, met in Milligan Park, Crawfordsville, Indian aJuly 14 for their 17th annual reunion. 25 cousins were present and enjoyed a delicious basket dinner at noon. Franklin Beckenholdt, pres presided at the business meeting. Officers for the next year are Franklin Beckenholdt, president; Harold Query, VP; Mable Hermeling, sec/treas. Milligan Park, Crawfordsville, Ind will again be the meeting place in 1969 the second Sunday in July. Fellowship and conversations were enjoyed throughout the afternoon. MH/ sec-treas
