James Wilson born 9 April 1825 in Crawfordsville d. 8 Aug 1864 in Caracas Venezuela where he was US Minister there.  He was in the 35th and 36th US Congress and during the Civil War served as a Lt. Col in charge of volunteers.  He was an 1842 Wabash College grad and served one year June-1846-1847 in the Mexican-American War.  He married Emma Ingersoll and had two sons, John Lockwood Wilson who was also a US Congressman and Henry Lane, a lawyer, Lafayette newspaper publisher, US Minister as well to Chile and then Belgium.  Fabulous family.
