CW Casualties, Brown Township

Civil War Casualities From
Brown Township, Montgomery County Indiana 1861 - 1865

Compiled by Scott Busenbark SBusenbark@crawfordsville-in.gov

This is a list of soldiers who did not survive the war from Brown Township. I am also getting a list together of all soldiers and units that were represented by Brown Township men, and also of all veterans buried in the Township. I have several articles from the Crawfordsville Journal that concern the war and men from "Old Brown'. I have been in contact with two men who had family in the war with ties to Waveland, Mike Ventura of Atlanta, Georgia who´s GG-Grandfather was Arch Scott, buried at Maple Ridge Cemetery and Matt Rector from the Bardstown, Kentucky area, formally of Terre Haute, his GGG-Grandfather was Jerome Dooley who served in the 40th Indiana of Waveland. He did email me two photos of him as an old gentleman, one is of him standing in front of Table Rock on Lookout Mountain.

My sources for the information have been: Indiana Volunteers books; Indiana Roll of Honor books; Crawfordsville Journal; The History of The 31st Indiana Infantry; 1850 & 1860 Montgomery County Census Records.

Respectfully,

Scott R. Busenbark

- thanks sooo sooo much, Scott - he's my CW guru :) kbz
