habeas corpus case of William H. Chesterson

Source: Crawfordsville Weekly Journal 28 Jan 1888 p3

The habeas corpus case of William H. Chesterson against his wife Estella for the possession of their two-year-old child was heard in the Circuit Court this week.  It was one of those cases in which an unfortunate marriage figures conspicuously and which always makes sad scenes in a court room.  The court held, however that the mother had the best right to the child and delivered it into her custody.
