Information copied by: John Breaks Lofland, son of Clara, grandson of James Richard Breaks. James R. Breaks was a farmer and Methodist minister. Although the Bible was given to Bessie, his eldest, it must have stayed in his possession. "IT seems very well used in the fact that the backbone has been replaced with a heavy piece of canvas-like material and the words, "New Testament" hand-lettered its full length. Rev. Breaks left all his theological books to John Break Lofland in the hopes that he would follow him into the ministry of the gospel."
