This picture was not dated but the some of the signs on the businesses can give us hints - E. F. White & Son General Merchandise is the sign on the building on the right
of the picture above a small sign advertising Miller Tires, on the post in front of this building the sign says That Good Oil - The Moore Oil Company. Across the street the building closest to
the Railroad Crossing the large sign says Hare & Swarthout, with signs on the building of Wagons, Hardware, Farm Machinery - they were active in Butlerville from about 1910 till sometime in
the 1920's. The partners in the business were John LeRoy "Roy" Swarthout and William J. Hare.
