September 26, 1907 - North Vernon Plain Dealer
Funeral of Dr. J. L. Hanna
The burial of Dr. James L. Hanna, with services at the Coffee Creek Baptist church, at Paris, was one of the largest funerals ever held in Jennings county. Dr. Hanna was a physician in this county for many years. He was a native of Ireland, and a graduate of a medical school in Dublin. For several years he was a physician on a transatlantic steamer, and he also practiced medicine at Chicago and in Louisville, Ky. He leaves four children and one grandchild. Madison Courier.
The picture included with this comes from those in my family records, saved by my great grandmother Geneva Ayers Stewart of "Old" Paris. SLK
