On application of Bailey W Needham Joseph Spaulding is appointed guardian of the persons and property of William Preston Needham,
Sarah Jane Needham, John Wesley Needham, Ann Law Needham and Rachel Needham infant heirs of Nathan Needham deceased provided he enters into bond with security in the sum of one thousand dollars and now comes the said Joseph Spaulding and files his bond with Bailey W Needham as his security which bond is approved of by the court, and the court adjourned until tomorrow morning nine oclock

Pleas held and determined at the Court House in Vernon in Jennings County in the State of Indiana on the fourth day of October, it being the fourth individual day of the October term of the Jennings Court of Common Pleas in the year of Our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and fifty five, before the Honorable Ezra F Pabody Judge of said court/Estate of Heirs of Nathan Needham decd

    Be it remembered that heretofore to wit on the sixteenth day of November at the November term of the Jennings Probate, in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight hundred and thirty six on application of Bailey W. Needham, Joseph Spaulding is nominated guardian of the persons and property of William Preston Needham, Sarah Jane Needham, John Wesley Needham, Ann Law Needham and Rachel Needham, infant heirs of Nathan Needham deceased, provided he enters into bond with Security in the sum of One Thousand dollars, and now come the said Joseph Spaulding and files his bond with Baily W Needham as his security which bond is approved by the court and reads as follows. To wit, Know all men by these presents, that Joseph Spaulding and Bailey W. Needham are held and firmly bound unto the State of Indiana in the Sum of One thousand the payment of which we bind ourselves and our heirs etc. firmly by these presents, Sealed with our Seals and dated this 16th day of November 1836 The condition of the above obligation is such that of the above bound Joseph Spaulding will truly and faithfully discharge the duties and perform the trust committed to him as guardian of the persons and Estate of Rachel Needham, William Preston Needham, Sarah Jane Needham, John Wesley Needham & Ann Law Needham infant heirs of Nathan Needham deceased during the minority of the said infant heirs and render to this court the just and true account of his guardianship when he shall thereunto be required, the above obligation to be null and void otherwise to be and remain in full force and virtue in law. and afterwards, to wit, on the thirteenth day of February at the February term of said probate court in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight Hundred and Forty five ordered by the court that a citation issued to the Sheriff requiring him to Cite Joseph Spaulding guardian of the heirs of Nathan Needham deceased, to be and appear at the next term of this court on the first day thereof to make Settlement with the court of his said guardianship.
    And afterwards to wit, on the thirteenth day of May at the May term of said Probate Court in the year last aforesaid, And now comes Joseph Spaulding guardian of the Persons and Estates, of John Wesly, Ann Law, William Preston & Sarah Jane Needham, infant heirs of Nathan Needham deceased, in pursuance of Citation issued from this court, and makes the following Report of his guardianship, as follows to wit, Guardian __ to ____ of moneys received from Bailey W. Needham Executor of said deceased in cash $33.79

Said guardian reports that there is no other moneys in his hands belonging to said heirs as yet. And said guardian now here asks the court to receive his resignation as guardian of John Wesly and Ann Law Needham, which is done, and on his motion Bailey W. Needham is appointed guardian for said heirs, Joseph Spaulding the guardian aforesaid further reports that there was a small amount of moneys received by him for said heirs in addition to the amount reported for which he has no receipts but that the same was Expended for the benefit of the said heirs.
And afterwards to wit, on the fourth day of October, at the October term of said Court of Common Pleas in the year of Our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and forty five comes said guardian and for Settlement presents his report and vouchers as follows, to wit

Needham is appointed guardian for _____ John Wesley Needham Ann Law Needham and now comes the said Bailey W. Needham and files his Bond in the Sum of Seven hundred and fifty dollars with Silas Needham as his Security which Bond is Approved and ordered on file and reads as follows Know all men by these present that we Bailey W Needham and Silas Needham all of Jennings county are held and firmly bound unto the State of Indiana in the Sum of Seven hundred & fifty dollars for the payment of which well and truly to be made and done, we bind ourselves our heirs Executors and administrators jointly and Severally firmly by these presents. Sealed with our Seals and this 13th day of May A.D. 1845. The condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bound Bailey W/ Needham will truly and faithfully perform the duties and trusts committed to him as guardian of the person & Estate of John Wesley Needham & Ann Law Needham infant heirs of Nathan Needham deceased, according to law then the above obligation is to be void and of none effect, otherwise to be and remain in full force and virtue in law.

And Letters of guardianship ordered to be issued to said guardian which is accordingly done, and the said Bailey W. Needham was duly sworn as guardian aforesaid, now here in open court.
And afterwards to wit, on the fourth day of October at the October term of said Jennings Court of Common Pleas in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight hundred and fifty five comes said guardian and for Settlement presents to the court his report and vouchers as follows to witt
