FRENCH FAMILY BIBLE
A letter to our past Genealogy Librarian Helen Horstman, written July 22, 1980 by Betty Bullard it explains this bible and how she came to own it. "A few years ago, my son in law tore down an old house in San Jacinto for a man and he found an old Bible which was printed in 1857 from the American Bible Society's Standard Edition for 1816. It is in a pretty bad state but had a lot of family information in it that I thought you might like to add to the records you have as they may be helpful to someone sometime.
They are about the French family and I will print what I have found.

Also found a loose announcement inside that said John Griffith Berkshire died at this home in North Vernon, Indiana. Thursday Feb. 19, 1891 aged 59 years three months and seven days.
Mrs. Wm. Penn died at her home in Middlefork, March 14, 1900. Wife of Will F. White of Washington Guernsey Co. Ohio died March 13, 1894 and her baby died March 18, 1893. His wife died of consumption and his baby of congestion of the brain."
