MRS. OLA E. FIFER
OF NEAR BRYANT DIES
SERVICES SATURDAY FOR JAY COUNTY WOMAN, 88
Mrs. Ola Ellen Fifer, lifelong resident of Bearcreek Twp., Jay County,
died at 4 a.m. Thursday at her home northeast of Bryant, after being
seriously ill for two weeks.
Friends may call at the Baird Funeral
Home until the hour of the service, which will be at (missing) Waller, the
minister, will officiate and he will be assisted by Ward Weisel. Interment
will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Fifer was born in Bearcreek Twp.
on March 3, 1869, the daughter of John and Hannah (Whiteman) Armantrout. She
was married Nov. 7, 1891, to John Fifer, who died Feb. 26, 1944. Mrs. Fifer
was an active member of the Limberlost Church of Christ.
Surviving
are three sons, Homer of Decatur, Ivan of Muncie, and Earl of Bryant; two
daughters, Mrs. Ed Omlor of Decatur and Mrs. Earl Haviland of Portland; nine
grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister Mrs. Mary Macklin of
Ft. Wayne. Two brothers and a sister are deceased. [Buried Limberlost
