BUTTS, Delmar L. - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

VEEDERSBURG – Delmar Butts, 53, a native of Veedersburg died Saturday night at a Chicago hospital. He was born Nov. 10, 1914, the son of Willard and Martha Howard Butts. Butts’ early life was spent in Veedersburg. He moved to Danville, Ill. in 1927 and later moved to Chicago. Butts married the former Doris McCann. He was an Army veteran of WWII and was employed in past years as a cement finisher. He is survived by the widow; a daughter, Vickie, and two brothers, Emil of Danville, Ill., and Howard of Waynetown. The body will be returned to the Fishero Funeral Home at Veedersburg. There will be visiting hours after 2 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Fishero Funeral Home with Rev. James Dyson officiating. Burial will be in the Rockfield Cemetery. --- typed by Chris M
