Kingman - Nathaniel Bryant, 79 Rt 1 Kingman suffered a fatal heart attack at noon Thursday. He was stricken in front of the Veedersburg Bank . He was pronounced dead on arrival at 12:30 p.m. at Culver Hospital, Crawforsdville. Mr. Bryant was b. 9-8-1885 near Kingman the son of James and Maryetta Robbins Bryant. On Aug 25, 1906 he was married in Rockville to Goldie Clore. He was educated in the Buffalo School southwest of Wallace. He was a member of the Freedom Christian Church near Wallace. He farmed and worked in the Veedersburg Brick Plant. He also worked several years in the tile mill at Mecca. Mr. Bryant had lived 27 years at his home 3/4 of a mile east of the Centennial Church. He had also lived for several years west of Mellott. Survivors include his wife; 3 sons, Russell of Newtown; Maurice of Waynetown and Boyd of Terre Haute; two daughters, Mrs. Zelma Clegg of Lafayette and Mrs. Lois Coats of Waynetown; two brothers, Charles Bryant of W. Lebanon and Margin Bryant of Wallace; two sisters, Mrs. Stella Keller of Waynetown and Mrs. Anna ? of Elkhart; 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Services will be at the Servies Funeral Home, Waynetown at 2 p.m. Saturday with Rev Alfred Dobbs officiating. Burial is in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after ? p.m. Friday.


Source: The obituary is from a collection by Fauniel Hershberger, saved the 1950's, 60's and 70's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

Waynetown, Ind. (CNS)--- Nathaniel Bryant, 79, of Kingman Route 1, was stricken with a heart attack in front of the Veedersburg Bank about noon yesterday (Feb. 4, 1965). He was pronounced dead on arrival at Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville, at 12:30 p.m. Born Sept. 8, 1885, near Kingman, he was the son of James and Maryetta Robbins Bryant. He married Goldie Clore Aug. 25, 1906 at Rockville and she survives. He attended Buffalo School near Wallace and was a member of the Freedom Christian Church near Wallace. He was a retired farmer, had worked at the Veedersburg brick plant and the tile mill in Mecca. He lived 27 years just east of Centennial Church and formerly lived at Mellott. Surviving in addition to the widow are three sons, Russell of Newtown, Maurice of Waynetown and Boyd of Terre Haute; two daughters, Mrs. Zelma Clegg of Lafayette and Mrs. Lois Coars of Waynetown Route 1; two brothers, Charles of West Lebanon and Martin of Wallace; two sisters, Mrs. Stella Teller of Waynetown and Mrs. Anna Roth of Elkhart; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The body is at the Servies Funeral Home here and services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Alfred Dobbs will officiate and burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
