Mrs. Lola Mae Bruner, 79, of Rt. 4, Veedersburg, died at 3 a.m. Monday at the home of a son, Ray, at Alamo. She had been visiting at the home of her son the past five days. Mrs. Bruner had been in failing health 10 years and seriously ill the past year. Born July 17, 1886, near Mellott, she was a daughter of John R. and Malinda Stephens Howard. She was married Dec. 21, 1903 to Harry M. Bruner. He died in September of 1955. Mrs. Bruner was a member of the Wallace Christian Church. Survivors include the son whom she was visiting at the time of her death; two daughters, Mrs. Thelma Smith of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Lois Lightle of Veedersburg; a brother, Walter Howard of Veedersburg; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Fishero Funeral Home here with Rev. Conley Rolland officiating. Interment will be in Masonic Cemetery at Waynetown. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home. - kbz

Veedersburg – Mrs. Lula Mae Bruner, 79, of Rt 4, died at 3 a.m. Monday in the home of her son, Ray of Alamo where she had been staying for five days. She had been in failing health several years. Born near Mellott, she was married in 1903 to Harry M. Bruner who died in 1955. She was a member of Wallace Christian Church. Surviving with the son are two daughters, Mrs. Thelma Smith of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Lois Lightle of Veedersburg and a brother, Walter Howard of Veedersburg. - kbz
