BROWN, Mary - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Waynetown Sept 10 - Miss Mary C. Brown, well known woman of this place died at her home here Wednesday morning of complications after an illness of two years. Her illness started with a paralytic stroke. The deceased was born near Waynetown August 30, 1854, the daughter of Joseph and Maranda Hughes Brown. She was never married and resided in and near this place all of her life. Surviving are two brothers, Henry of Veedersburg and William of Waynetown; one sister, Mrs. Emma Blackburn of Hillsboro and two half-sisters, Mrs. D.H. Wallace and Mrs. Rose Miller, both of Veedersburg. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the home on South Vine Street with E.E. Livengood in charge. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery. - typed by kbz
