Mary A. Brown, 77, of Veedersburg died Thursday night at the Soldiers’ Home in Lafayette. She was the widow of John H. Brown of Veedersburg, who preceded her in death on March 21 of this year. Both Mr. and Mrs. Brown had lived in Veedersburg for many years but had sold their home several months prior to his death and moved to the Soldiers’ Home after both became disabled. Born Aug. 5, 1887, at Chrisman, Ill, she was the daughter of E. M. and Sarah Dinsmore. She married Brown in 1922. Mrs. Brown was a member of the Mt. Olive Methodist Church in Chrisman and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary at Veedersburg. Survivors include a brother, Robert Dinsmore of Hillsboro; three sisters, Mrs. Catherine Noakes of Muncie, Mrs. Madge Carver of Kissimmee, Fla., and Mrs. Mabel Glascock of Veedersburg, and several nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Parham Funeral Home in Veedersburg. Burial will be in the Rockfield Cemetery at Veedersburg. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday between 2 and 4 p.m. and 7 and 9 p.m.
