Waynetown - Floyd Brown, 68, a farmer and exterior and interior decorator died at 11:15 a.m. Sunday at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville. He had been suffering from a case of pneumonia for three weeks and had been at the hospital a week.
Born four miles south of Waynetown on Feb 15, 1885 he was the son of John and Emma Herron Brown. On May 30, 1925, he married Ruby Short in Indianapolis. She survives. He was a member of the North Christian Church at Mellott.
Survivors include the widow; a son, Donald R. of Crawfordsville; a daughter, Mrs. Lavera Lowe of Veedersburg; a brother, Walter of Mellott; two sisters, Miss Deadie Brown of Danville, Ill and Mrs. Evelyn ETter of Covington; three grandchildren and several nieces. Two brothers preceded him in death. The family home is on Rt 3, Veedersburg.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Grenard & Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown, Rev. Guy Walters of Mellott will officiate and burial will be in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. - kbz

Floyd Brown, Veedersburg route 3, died Sunday at 11:15 a.m. at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville after being a patient there for a week. Mr. Brown was born Feb 15, 1885 four miles south of Waynetown son of John and Emma Harron Brown. He married Ruby Short at Indianapolis May 30, 1925. He was a farmer and painter and member of North Christian Church at Mellott. Surviving are his wife; a son, Donald R of Crawfordsville; a daughter, Mrs. Lavera Lowe of Veedersburg; two sisters, Mrs. Deadie Brown of Danville and Mrs. Evelyn Etter of Covington; a brother, Walter Brown of Mellott and three grandchildren. Funeral services were Tuesday afternoon at Waynetown with burial in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. – kbz
