BROWN, Donald E. - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Donald E. Brown of rural Glencoe, Minnesota, age 84, died Wednesday night, January 14, in Glencoe Hospital. He was born at Danville, Illinois, June 29, 1896, the son of Florian and Martha Ellen Wolf Beaver. A telegraph lineman for the Milwaukee Railroad from 1915 to 1956, he moved to Minnesota in 1931.

  Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Catherine Jochum of Glencoe and Mrs. Helen Anderson of Pittsburgh, California; eight sons, William V. of Deer Lodge, Montana, Donald E. Jr., Rev. Eugene J., Frederick D., Dwight E. and Thomas R., all of Logansport, Charles of Crystal, Minnesota, and Walter of Oakley, California; a sister, Mrs. Alice Ray of RR 2, Covington; 23 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. Eugene J. Brown officiating. Burial was in Lower Mound Cemetery at Covington. – thanks to S
