Charles S. Brimbury, 81, of Veedersburg died suddenly Wednesday, July 12, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Mr. Brimbury was making a family trip, and was visiting a niece, Mrs. Beverly Glenn, when he was stricken. Born in Cole County, Illinois, on Feb. 3, 1886, Mr. Brimbury was the son of Henry and Alice Johnson Brimbury, and moved to Veedersburg as a boy. On April 23, 1905, he married Della Mortimore, who survives. Mr. Brimbury worked 45 years for the Nickle Plate Railroad, retiring as a section foreman. Later he was employed in the lumber department of the Farm Bureau Co-Op at Veedersburg. Survivors, besides the widow, include three sons, Mike of Las Vegas, Robert of Hamilton, O., and Bill of Veedersburg; four daughters, Mrs. Lala Smith of Crawfordsville, Mrs. Beulah Holden of Kingman, Mrs. Vera Redmon of Joliet, Ill., and Mrs. Alberta Collon of Mecca, Ind.; a sister, Mrs. Kay Childers of Anderson; two brothers, Ed of Attica, and James of Greentown; 28 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Fisher Funeral Home in Veedersburg.
