BRIER, Blanche Foreman - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Blanche Brier, 92, of 211 2nd. St., Williamsport, passed away on Tuesday Feb. 9, 1978 at Community Hospital. She had been a resident of Meadow Heights Nursing Home since 1974 and had been in ill health since Monday. She was born on September 10, 1885 in Fountain County to Andrew and Hallie (Ramsey) Foreman. She had lived south of Attica on the Dan Young farm from 1912 to 1953, when she moved to Williamsport where she lived for the rest of her life. She was a member of the Christian Church in Attica. A housewife, Mrs. Brier was married on September 26, 1903 in Attica to Orrie Z. Brier, who preceded her in death in 1960. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Mildred Schultz of Lafayette, Mrs. Maurice (Josephine) Lawson, Mellott, & Mrs. Harold (Katherine) DeBord of Williamsport; three sons Merle Brier Sr. of Attica, Fred and Cecil; one son, Floyd, preceded in death; 19 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Services at the Maus Funeral Home, with the Rev. Don Green officiating. Burial in Riverside Cemetery in Attica.
