ATTICA --- Funeral services for William Miller, age 59, a resident of Attica 45 years, who died unexpectedly Sunday, March 14, were held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, at the DeSutter Funeral Home here. The Rev. Douglas Dickey officiated and burial was in Riverside Cemetery. Mr. Miller died while attending the Maple Syrup Festival at the 4-H grounds in Rockville. Death was attributed to a heart attack. He was born April 3, 1905, at State Line, the son of Daniel and Harriet Prickett Miller. He was married Jan. 24, 1942, at Veedersburg, to Emma Ruth Bly, who survives. Mr. Miller had been employed for many years at the Paris Cleaners, retiring in 1958. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. He also was a member of the Methodist Church. Surviving, in addition to the wife, are: one daughter, Sandra Holmes at home; and two sisters, Miss Mary Miller of West Lebanon, and Mrs. Jen Hobaugh of Williamsport.
