Mr. and Mrs. George Birge have received word from their grandson, Sherman B. Trotter of the Marine Medical Corps now serving in southern Okinawa saying he has received three battle stars, one broze star and one citation. Trotter's home is in Portland, Ind and he has been in the Southwest Pacific several months, having been wounded shortly after arriving overseas. He is the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Trotter formerly of HIllsboro.
