Scott's Prairie News -- Lt. (JG) Herman J. Myers has just finished four months training at Melbourne, Florida. Lt. Myers had been instructing for approximatley two years and the lst four months have been a refresher course in fighter planes. He, and the rest of his group, had received orders to leave on a given date for San Diego where they would report for fleet duty.  On the day they were to leave, they very unexpectedly were informed they had all been transferred to the phase of training known as "night FIghters." This required much longer and more
strenuous training and as a result they were sent to Kingsville, Texas for more instruction.  He will be there for three months.
