Robert E. Black, Jr. son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Black of Veedersburg, has been honorably discharged from the US Marie Corps and is again back in Veedersburg visiting his parents.
Bob took part in the initial landings in the invasion of the Palau Islands in the South Pacific Theatre. He was injured during the fighting there and was later returned to the States for medical treatment.
It's good to have you back, Bob.
