 The body of S. Sgt. Glenn V. Pugh arrived in Cayuga at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 13.
  The body was taken to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hazelwood at Lodi to await funeral services, which were held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Rush Creek Church. Rev. Ralph Hubble officiated. Burial was in Rush Creek Cemetery in charge of Watson Funeral Directors.
  Pallbearers were Donald Grimes, Paul Hunt, John Mendenhall, Bill Graves, Morris Jackson and Gene Dotson. The Kingman American Legion Post conducted military services.
  Sergeant Pugh was born in Eagle Butte, S. D. March 17, 1922, a son of the late John and Fay Pugh. He was graduated from Tangier High School in 1940. He entered the army Dec. 12, 1942, and received the basic training at Camp Philips, Kansas. He was sent overseas in August 1944 with an infantry regiment of the 94th Division. He was with the Third Army when he was killed in Germany January 28, 1945.
  He was married to Miss Edith Grubbs of Lodi August 7, 1943. He is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Lucille Hazelwood of Lodi and Mrs. Mary Ray, Kingman RR and Miss Charlotte Pugh of Tangier, and one brother, Gene Pugh, of Silverwood. – S&E
