ELLIOTT, William E. -- Died in November 1942 - Seaman 2nd Class US Navy Reserve - KIA - supposed to be a stone to him in Attica but it is not on findagrave. There is a listing with the government for a William E. Elliott but it says he was inducted from Illinois. Seaman Second Class as the 2013 Fountain County, Indiana History lists but it lists died November 1942 and buried in Attica. This says died 12 Oct 1942 and has a monument in Ft. William McKinley, Manila, the Philippines. Missing. Awarded a Purple Heart. Not sure if it's the same person or not.
