Sgt. Michael Collins was honored with a family dinner by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Collins before he left for Vietnam to complete his year of duty. He had accompanied the body of Jerry Warbritton of Attica from Vietnam.

Warbritton - Jerry - Friends will be received at DeSutter Funeral Home, Attica after 5 p.m. Monday. Services there at 2 p.m. Tuesday, the Rev. Harry Randollph officiatnig. Interment Riverside Cemetery, Attica.  

The body of one area serviceman killed in Vietnam arrived Sunday afternoon and that of another one was scheduled to arrive Monday night at Weir Cook Airport, Indianapolis. Escorted home Sunday by a fellow Attican, Michael Collins, was the body of Jerry Warbritton, 20-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Flavius Warbritton 707 North St, Attica. Killed in action, the youth had entered the service last May.

Attica, Ind - Relatives have been advised that Army Pfc Jerry Lee Warbritton, 20 of Attica, has been killed on a reconnaissance mission in Vietnam. The first report from the Defense Department did not give the date of death.

The deaths announced yesterday of two Hoosier soldiers have increased to 907 the number of Indiana men killed in the war in Vietnam. They were Army Pfc Jerry Lee Warbritton, 20 years old of Attica and Army Sgt Dennis M. Fairchild.  Warbritton was killed Saturday while on a reconnissance mission near the Cambodian border. A graduate of Attica HS he entered service last May and went to Vietnam in October. He was a member of the Attica First Christian Church. Funeral services are pending at the DeSutter Funeral Home in Attica. Survivors include the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Flavius Warbritton of Attica; two sisters, Mrs. Jack Rampy of Warsaw and Miss Debra Warbritton at home; a brother, James Warbritton at home and a grandmother, Mrs. Guy Davis of Attica. - kbz
