Larry Wayne Wininger, 23, of Lafayette, a former area resident, died Sunday (Jan. 31, 1971) en route to the Home Hospital. Cause of death has not been determined and the Tippecanoe County coroner is investigating. Born Sept. 9, 1947, in Williamsport, he was the son of James Ralph and Irene Wagner Wininger. He had resided most of his life on Attica Route 2 and had moved to Lafayette eight months ago. He attended Attica schools and was a veteran of three years service in the Army, with two years in Vietnam. He had been employed at the Andover Manufacturing Co. in Lafayette for six months. Survivors include his parents; a brother, James of Lafayette; two sisters, Mrs. John Ault of Romney and Mrs. Richard Brown of Attica; a step grandfather, Poe Roach of French Lick, and a half brother, Donald Quinn of Lafayette. Services Wednesday at the DeSutter Funeral Home. The Rev. Clarence Arnett officiated. Burial in Salem Cemetery east of Attica. Military graveside rites were conducted. -– jlr
