North Judson - Dale L. Cronkhite, 36, of North Judson, died early Sunday morning at the West Tenth Street Veterans Hospital in Indianapolis. He had been a patient there for two months. Cronkhite, who had served on the Greencastle Police force for several years, was working for the Davis Hybrid Seed Company in North Judson before his death. Born in Fountain County April 22, 1930, he was the son of Augustus and Martha Nicholas Cronkhite. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of Wallace and was a veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Reba; his parents, Augustus and Martha Cronkhite of Greencastle; five children, Robert, Jerry, Joe, Jim and Linda; four sisters, Mrs. Virginia Knauer of Greencastle, Mrs. Frances Ballard, Mrs. Augusta Lewis and Mrs. Dortha Dretske of Indianapolis, and four brothers, Dean of Crawfordsville, Alfred of Kingman, and Gus and Robert of Indianapolis. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Hopkins-Walton Funeral Home in Greencastle. Friends may call at the funeral home.

Employed by Davis Hybrid Seed Company in North Judson, he is survived by his widow, Reba, his parents of Greencastle, and five children, Robert, Jerry, Joe, Jim and Linda, also four sisters, Mrs. Virginia Knauer of Greencastle, Mrs. Frances Ballard, Mrs. Augusta Lewis and Mrs. Dortha Dretske, all of Indianapolis; four brothers, Dean of Crawfordsville, Alfred of Kingman, Gus and Robert of Indianapolis. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Hopkins-Walton Funeral Home in Greencastle. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
