Official lists of Indiana’s soldiers & sailors who have died in the war are not obtainable, either at Washington or elsewhere. The following names have been compiled from a thorough examination of files or daily newspapers and if there are errors or omission it is due to the fact records in the War Department have not yet been segregated into states as to be quickly available. The war camp community service believes the hero roll herewith presented is correct – kbz
William C. Douglas, Attica died in service Dec 31, 1917.
Pvt. William Fulton, Covington, died in service July 27, 1918
Lt. William E.G. Cooper, Hillsboro, died in action July 31, 1918
Pvt. Clarence LaFounette, Covington, died in action Aug 8, 1918
