WINFIELD SCOTT WILSON -- Son of Winfield Scott and Jennie Wilson; born October 25, 1892, in Fountain County, Ind. Moved to Cass County in 1898. Farmer. Entered service September 20, 1917, Logansport, Ind. Sent to Camp Taylor, Ky.; assigned to 325th Field Artillery. Transferred to Camp Shelby, Miss.; then to Camp Merritt, N. J. Sailed for France June 13, 1918; assigned to Company H, 166th Infantry. Died from wounds October 14, 1918. Buried in American Cemetery No. 1232, Romagne, France, Grave No. 144, Sec. 19, Plot 3.
