Covington, Ind July 29 - At a meeting held in the court
house Saturday afternoon, a committee was appointed to arrange for the
memorial services which will be held next Sunday afternoon at 4
o'clock in the
Methodist Church in memory of Wilbur Fulton, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Isaac Fulton of this city. Since the telegram from the war
department announcing that it had been officially reported that Private
Wilbur Fulton, infantry, died July 17 from wounds received in
action, no further word has been received by the parents. This is
the first Covington boy to be killed in battle while fighting the
foreign foe. Fulton had been in France less than two months.
Appropriate exercises will be held in his memory and it is planned now that the
Liberty
Guards, War Mothers and all the patriotic organizations of
the city attend the meeting in a body..
