LOGAN REMSTER BANTZ -- Logan Remster Bantz (Private): Son of John F. and Elizabeth Remster Bantz; born March 1, 1894, Covington, Ind. Farmer. Entered service May 5, 1918, Covington, Ind. Sent to Camp Taylor Ky.; assigned to 31st Company, 8th Training Battalion; 159th Depot Brigade. Transferred to Camp Sherman, Ohio; assigned to Company A, 5th Development Battalion, 158th Depot Brigade. Died of pneumonia while home on furlough, October 15, 1918, in hospital, Crawfordsville, Ind. Buried in Steely Cemetery, near Covington, Ind. Also listed in Bend Cemetery, Fountain County.
