Sent to Camp Taylor, Ky.; assigned to Pioneer Training Battalion, 159th Depot Brigade. Transferred to Camp Shelby, Miss.; assigned to Supply Company, 151st Infantry. Died of pneumonia April 18, 1918, Camp Shelby, Miss. Buried in Salem Cemetery, Fountain County, near Attica, Ind.
