This large, active cemetery is located on Pleasant Street in the City of Charlestown, between the downtown area and the High School. It appears meticulously maintained and is the final resting place of many pioneers and veterans of many wars as well as the site of the grave of Jonathan Jennings, the first Governor of Indiana (see monument above). |
