Clara Mae Palmer

CLARA MAE PALMER, 67, Marion, died at 8:10 pm, Monday, November 17, 2014 in her residence. She was born in Dayton, Ohio to the late Joseph and Charlotte Newbauer and was a graduate of Mississinewa High School. She married Gary Palmer on June 18, 1994. He survives.

Clara retired from RCA after 32 years. She was a member of Sunnycrest Baptist Church. She enjoyed her flowers and doing crafts. Clara loved spending time with her grandkids.

In addition to her husband, Clara is survived by her children, Bill (Monica) Troyer of Lynchburg, VA, Dawn Bounds and Dana (Alonzo) Williams both of Marion, IN, Brandy Ashby of Nashville, TN and Kimberly Ashby of Anderson, IN; and sister, Charlene Walser; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Clara will be a 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 21, 2014 at Needham- Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Avenue, Marion, IN, with Pastor Kent Palmer officiating. Burial will be in the Bosley Cemetery in Blackford County, IN.

Visitation will be on Thursday, November 20, 2014 from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Jerol L. "Jerry" Palmer

Jerrol L. "Jerry" Palmer, 82, went home to be with the Lord early Wednesday morning March 23, 2011, in Heritage Pointe, Warren. He was born in Blackford County, the son of the late Dell and Amanda (Cunningham) Palmer. He graduated from Roll High School in 1947 and graduated from Ball State University with a degree in Business Administration in 1958.

Jerry married Alice "Irene" Rouse, on January 28, 1950. She survives.

Mr. Palmer served in the Army with honor from 1953 to 1955 in Korea. He retired from Fidelity Federal Savings Bank where he was the Vice President and Trustee. He was a member of the Van Buren American Legion Post #368, the Financial Managers of Indiana, a former member of the Muncie Jaycees, and a former member of the Marion Lions Club. He received the Outstanding Chairman Award for the state of Indiana in 1962.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Gregory (Vivica), Sharpsville, Kent (Phyllis), Menomonee Falls, WI, and Steve (Crystal), Upland; and nine grandchildren, Corey and Caleb Palmer, Brian, Bradley and Benjamin Palmer, Jessica Caldwell, May Howard, Emily and Levi Palmer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Oris W. Palmer.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 6100 W. 96th St. #200, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46278-6020.

Funeral Service: 10:00 am, Saturday, March 26, 2011, Jones-Smith Funeral Home, 259 N. Main St., Upland, Indiana.

Visitation: 2-4, 6-8 pm, Friday, March 25, 2011, Jones-Smith Funeral Home, 259 N. Main St., Upland, Indiana. Officiating: Rev. Kent Palmer. Pall Bearers: Brian Palmer, Brad Palmer, Corey Palmer, Caleb Palmer, Ben Palmer, Levi Palmer

Interment: Balsley Cemetery, Blackford County, Indiana.

Eliza Pittinger

Death at Montpelier.--- With the death of Mrs. Eliza Pittinger, 66, late Sunday afternoon, this vicinity loses one of the best known residents. She had resided in the county 42yrs, coming here from Delaware County.

Surviving are seven children; Mrs. Frank Messner, Jesse Pittinger at home; Oren Pittinger, of Muncie; Daniel Pittinger, residing three miles south of here; Mary Madden, Owen County; Ethel Hizer, and Edith Cale residing Southeast of the City.

Robert C. Price

HARTFORD CITY - Robert C. Price, 92, passed away, Monday evening, September 28, 2015 at I.U. Health Blackford Hospital. Bob was born on December 4, 1922 in Blackford County to William and Clara (Sands) Price.

He graduated from Hartford City High School and lived his entire life in Blackford County. On May 8, 1943 he married Georgette Hornbaker in Hartford City. Her death occurred January 29, 2005.

Bob was a well-known farmer in Blackford County where he served on the School Board, was a member of the Delaware County Co-Op, Blackford County Fair Board and was a founding member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church of Hartford City, where he also served as an Elder.

Surviving are his son, John Price (wife, Marilynn), of Hartford City; four grandchildren, Dave Price (wife, Allyson), Mike Price (fiancé, Suzanne), Julie Dodd (husband, Chad), and Andy Price (wife, Sarah); seven great-grandchildren, Marcus Price, Nick Price, Kyle Price, Kaden Price, Scott Dodd, Kendra Dodd, and Brooklynn Dodd, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Georgette,

Bob was preceded in death by a son, Paul Price; a daughter, Connie; three brothers, Ralph Price, Cleo Price, and Edward Price.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 2, 2015 at Grace Lutheran Church, 610 N. Reserve St. Muncie, Indiana, with Pastor Daniel Mackey officiating.

Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Hartford City.

Visitation for friends and family will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City and one hour prior to services Friday at the church.

Memorials may be made in his name to the Prince of Peace
