Lena Ruth Clamme

Nov 15, 1918 - Oct 1, 2009.--- Lena Ruth Clamme, 90, formerly of Hartford City, IN, died Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009, at Heritage Pointe in Warren, IN.

She had been a resident of Heritage Pointe for the past year, moving there from Hartford City.

Mrs. Clamme was a 1936 graduate of Roll High School. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday school classes, sang in the choir, served on the church council and held several positions of leadership. She was a member of the Research Club and was active in the Blackford County Farm Bureau. She farmed until 1997.

She was born Nov. 15, 1918, in Drumright, OK, to Burr J. and Lena Fern Gebhart Palmer. She married Paul A. Clamme on April 24, 1937. Her husband preceded her in death on June 13, 1980.

Survivors include a half-brother, Jean Palmer, of Kokomo.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at Greenlawn Cemetery, Old Ind.-22, Hartford City. Rev. Mark Strietelmeier of Zion Lutheran Church, Portland, will officiate.

Preferred memorials are gifts to the charity of the donor's choice.

Esther N. Cortright

Esther N. Cortright, 87, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016 in IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born in Dola, OH, on May 20, 1928 to Rev. Frank and Bertha (Reece) Dell and graduated from Hartford City High School in 1945. She attended Capital University, Columbus, OH, for a year and Indiana Business College, Ft. Wayne, for 2 years.

Esther married Norman Cortright on Dec. 11, 1954 in Ft. Recovery, OH. He preceded her in death in 1996.

Esther worked as a secretary at Hartford City High School for many year. She later worked at Blackford County Hospital and Ball Memorial Hospital as a medical transcriptionist.

Survivors include a son, Craig (Donna) Cortright, Bluffton; a daughter, Nancy Cortright, Hartford City; and a brother, Charles Dell, Lima, OH.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brother, John Dell; and sister, Eleanor Hosier.

The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Zion Lutheran Church, 308 S. Monroe St., Hartford City, with Pastor David Fleener presiding. Burial will follow the service in Greenlawn Cemetery, east of Hartford City. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

James A. "Jim" Crisamore

JAMES A. 'Jim' CRISAMORE
Jan. 10, 1948 -- May 1, 2002

HARTFORD CITY -- James A. 'Jim' Crisamore, 54, died Wednesday evening in Blackford County Hospital.

The Hartford City native was a Navy veteran and had owned Jim's Barber Shop & Green- house.

Surviving are wife, Cynthia; nephew, Ryan Kemp, Hartford City; and niece, Ashley Kemp, Hartford City; and father-in-law, Sterling Sotdorus, Marion.

Services are at 2 p.m. Saturday in Glancy Funeral Home, Walker Chapel, 109 W. Windsor St., Mont- pelier.

Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Little League through the funeral home.
