A.L Brown was born in Tippecanoe County, Ind., in 1835. He is the son of Peter 0. Brown, now age seventy seven years. Our subject began preparing himself for the medical profession, but never practiced. He became a citizen of this county in 1860, and was married at Monticello in 1867, to Miss Sarah M., daughter, of James Chilton, and to this union two children have been born, Agnes M. and Lulu M. Mr. Brown is the owner of eighty acres of good land, and at present is operating, a general store at Badger of which he is the Postmaster.
