Jacob Meek was born Mar 1755 Elkridge, Maryland.  He died 23 May 1840 and buried in a private cemetery on Lashley Farm south of Richmond, Indiana.  He married 1778 Nancy Marcus (Warcins).  Children: John; Jeremiah Lee born 1780 married Rebecca Grimes; Isaac married first Nancy Perkins, second to Mary G. Davidson; William married Patsey Holman; Patsey married Elijah Fisher; Effie married William Grimes; Rue married Captain William Holman; Joshua.  Source Page 250, Roster of Soldiers and Patriots of the American Revolution Buried in Indiana, 1938.
