North Manchester, Jan. 17 –

Robert S. Thompson, 83, died early this morning at the home of a son, George Thompson. He was born at Liberty Mills and had lived in this vicinity most of his life.

Surviving besides the son at whose home he died are three other sons, Clarence of South Whitley, Chester of Fort Wayne and Jerome of Mattoon, Ill., and one sister, Mrs. Oneida Simison.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the residence with Rev. C. M. McCoy in charge. Burial will be in Claypool Cemetery.
