RUFLE North Manchester, Feb. 15 – Ademar Rufle, 80, jeweler here for 48 years, died at 12:20 pm today at his home here after a long illness. Born in Goshimo, Switzerland, he came to this country in 1877 with a group of other young Swiss watchmakers and came to North Manchester in 1891. His wife died in 1931. Surviving are three daughters, Esther Emma, May B. and Anna Hazel Rufle, all at home, and one sister, Mrs. Minnie Spahr of Lengrau, Switzerland. He was a member of the Methodist Church, the Masonic Blue Lodge, the Knights Templar of Wabash and the North Manchester Merchants Association. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3 pm at the residence with Rev. Manfred Wright officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery. Journal-Gazette, Fort Wayne, IN, February 16, 1940.
