Laketon Man Takes Own Life Laketon, Feb. 5 – Finer Reiken, 81, of near Laketon took his own life this morning by hanging himself in the barn at his home. The body was discovered by his son, William Reiken, who investigated when the aged man failed to return to the house. Relatives could give no motive for his act. He was born in Germany, came to this country at the age of 19 and had spent the last 25 years in this community. Surviving are the widow; three sons, Fred Reiken of Ijamsville, Richard Reiken of North Manchester and William Reiken at home, and two daughters, Mrs. Glenn Frederick of Huntington and Mrs. Alfred Bollinger of South Bend. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 pm at the Lutheran church at North Manchester with Rev. Homer Ogle officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.
