MORSE
Wabash, June 10 –

   Delbert A. Morse, 57, of this city, a civil engineer, died about 7:30 am yesterday in the Soldiers Home Hospital, Lafayette, where he had been eight months. He had been ill three years.

   Mr. Morse was born June 30, 1899 in Alexandria and was a former resident of North Manchester. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Central Christian Church in Indianapolis, American Legion in Wabash, 40 and 8 and Masonic Lodge. Mr. Morse also was a past commander of the North Manchester American Legion Post.

   Surviving is the widow, the former Nellie Hummer to whom he was married November 27, 1927.

   Services will be conducted at 8 pm Tuesday in the Bender Funeral Home, North Manchester, the Rev. D. Richard Wolfe of Fort Wayne officiating. Rites also are scheduled by the 540 and 8.

Cremation will follow.
