Wabash, Aug. 24 –

Funeral services for John Edward McGath, 79, who died about midnight Friday night at Wabash County Hospital following a three weeks illness, will be held at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon at the Wire Funeral Home where the body will remain until time for the service. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery.

Mr. McGath, who was a member of the Wabash Police Force for 18 years, came here from Putnam County, O.

He had been a resident of Wabash for the past 45 years.

He is survived by his widow; one son, Charles McGath of Bedford and one step-grandson.
