Laketon, April 22 -

   Funeral services for J. W. Chalfant, 78, who died at his home here Sunday evening, will be held at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon at the United Brethren Church in Laketon with Rev. J. W. Dickinson in charge. Burial will be in the Laketon Cemetery.

   Mr. Chalfant was a native of Dreaden, O., but had lived in Laketon for the past 37 years. He had been retired for 16 years.

   Surviving are the widow; the following children: Lee Chalfant of Huntington, Gladys of Washington, Harry and Don Chalfant of Griffith, Esther Chalfant of Springfield, Ill., and Helen and Grace at home.
