Geo. W. Berry, better known as Dr. Berry, a resident of Pleasant Township for thirty-three years, passed away March 23, 1899, aged 74 years, 7 months and 8 days.
   Mr. Berry was born in Shelby County, Ohio in 1824 and moved to Lagro in 1861 and from there to Pleasant Township in 1866. While in Ohio, he taught sixteen terms of school, one term in Indiana and practiced medicine a number of years.
  For some time he followed portrait painting and teaching writing school. He was the father of eight children, one girl and seven boys, four of which are living.
   Funeral at Roann Saturday, March 25.
