Roann Community Center, Roann, Wabash County, Indiana Decatur Daily Democrat, Adams County, IN , Thursday, Mar. 9, 1972 Delta Mae Beam dies at hospital Mrs. Delta Mae Beam, 69, of Roann, mother of Eugene Beam of Decatur, died at 1:30 a.m. today at the Wabash county hospital at Wabash, following an illness of one month. Born in Howard county Aug. 30, 1902, she was a daughter of Samuel and Pearl Olwin-Rogers, and was married to Louis Beam Nov. 24, 1919. Her husband preceded her in death Aug. 8, 1966. Mrs. Beam was a member of the Roann First Brethren church and the Paw Paw club. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. James Gridley of Wabash route 1, Mrs. Donald Dyson of Roann route 1, and Mrs. Henry Bartlett of Topeka, Kan.; three sons, Eugene Beam of Decatur, Edward Beam of Roann, and Richard Beam of Fort Wayne; her mother, Mrs. Pearl Rogers of Peru; a sister, Mrs. Paul Bell of Wabash; two brothers, Wilmer Rogers of Peru, and Russell Rogers of Roann route 1; 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Grandstaff funeral home in Roann, with rev. William Kerner officiating. Burial will be in the Roann IOOF cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday.
