A 58-year-old Alabama man was killed and his wife slightly injured about noon Sunday May 27, 1962 as their car veered out of control on rain-swept US Highway 41, 6 miles north of Rockville. Dead on arrival at Vermillion County Hospital in Clinton was Arthur F. STENZEL, Fairhope, Alabama. His wife, Phyllis, 49 was hospitalized with bruises, cuts and shock. Stenzel suffered a fractured skull, state troopers said, when his speeding southbound vehicle slid into a curve at high speed, plunged into a ditch, flipped completely over and threw him out.
