Skidmore Cemetery

This cemetery is on the top of a hill, in the woods. Approximately 1/4 mile from Hwy 63 and a mile north of Universal, IN.

Note from unknown contributor -- The Skidmores buried in the old cemetery near your house descend from a Joshua H. Skidmore who was christened on 24 February 1793 at Bakewell, Derbyshire, in England (and died on 29 January 1872 aged 79-11-26 according to his tombstone).

To the best of my knowledge this family is extinct, although it would appear that John W. Skidmore, a son, did marry a wife P______ which I did not know.
